Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Mumsurvey is a market-research panel operated by Mum'sViews Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 05753283, with its registered office at Holt Court, 16 Warwick Row, 2nd Floor, Coventry CV1 1EJ. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For anything to do with your data, contact admin@mumsurvey.co.uk.

2. What information we collect

We only collect information you knowingly give us:

  • When you register: your name, email address, and the profile details we need to match you to relevant surveys — such as your age, where in the UK you live, whether you are pregnant or have children, and your children's ages.
  • When you take surveys: your answers.
  • When we pay you: the PayPal details needed to send your reward, and a record of what we have paid you.
  • When you enter prize draws: your entry and, if you win, the details needed to give you the prize.
3. Pregnancy and children — the sensitive bit, handled plainly

Because Mumsurvey is a panel for mums and mums-to-be, some of what you share with us is sensitive:

  • Pregnancy information counts as health data under UK data-protection law. We only hold it with your explicit consent, we use it solely to send you relevant surveys, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by leaving the panel or emailing us.
  • Information about your children (such as their ages) is information about a child, and we treat it with special care. We collect it only from you, the parent; we never contact children; children cannot join the panel (members must be 18 or over); and we never use children's information for anything except matching you to relevant research.
4. How we use your information

Your information is used for market research only. Specifically, to:

  • send you survey invitations that suit your profile;
  • run the research itself (some surveys are run by us, some by trusted research partners on our behalf);
  • pay your rewards and run the monthly prize draws; and
  • send you the service emails a panel needs (welcome, account, payment and survey emails).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for advertising. Our clients receive research results in grouped, anonymised form — they see "43% of mums with a baby under 6 months", never your name.

5. Our lawful bases
  • Consent — for joining the panel, for pregnancy (health) data, and for information about your children. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Contract — to pay rewards you have earned and run prize draws you have entered.
  • Legal obligation — to keep required business records (such as payment records for tax).
  • Legitimate interests — for basic service administration and keeping the panel secure.
6. Who we share it with

Only with the partners needed to run the panel, and only as processors working under our instructions:

  • the survey platform that hosts and delivers our questionnaires;
  • PayPal, to pay your rewards;
  • the technology providers that run our website and send our emails.
7. Where your data lives

Your data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom.

8. How long we keep it
  • While you are a member: we keep your profile, survey history and reward balance so the panel works for you.
  • When you leave: your removal takes effect immediately — you stop receiving invitations straight away. Your personal data is then deleted, except:
    • limited records we must keep by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes, kept six years); and
    • a minimal suppression record (just enough to make sure we never contact you again by mistake).
  • If your account is inactive for 24 months: we email you notice, and if there is no response within a further month the account may be closed and the same deletion applies.
9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see the personal data we hold about you (email us — we will respond within one month);
  • have it corrected if it is wrong;
  • have it deleted;
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • take your data with you (data portability); and
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

To use any of these, email admin@mumsurvey.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk — though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

10. Leaving the panel

Two ways, both immediate:

  • Members: log into your account and unsubscribe via the Dashboard; or
  • By email: email admin@mumsurvey.co.uk with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

Deletion then happens as described in section 8. If you have £5 or more in your account and want it, cash out before you unsubscribe (see the Terms & Conditions).

11. Keeping your data safe

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption and access controls, and we limit access to the people who need it to run the panel.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post the current dated version here, and we will email you about significant changes before they take effect.
